When Manny and I had our first conversations almost a year ago, he mentioned that his favorite author was Michael Connelly. When he found out that his favorite book had been made into a movie, I knew I had no choice but to go see it-but I am SO thankful I did. The Lincoln Lawyer, directed by Brad Furman, was a breath of fresh air. I had not seen a legal/psychological thriller worth watching in years. To give you an idea, it is about a smooth defense attorney(Haller), who gets hired to defend a wealthy bachelor acused of raping and brutally beating a prostitute. Seems simple right? The case rapidly develops into a deadly diversion of survival for Haller. The brainteasing plot spirals out of control and stays that way until the end.
I like movies that linger on my mind for a few days, and this one definetly one of them. I hope you guys find the time to go see it!
XOXO, LALA.
